I jot notes down here about the project, the site, quick updates etc.
I'm forcing myself to create content and fill out the site so I can start figuring out its structure. I will soon need to reverse the home page feed order, so the content descends to show the newest updates first.
I need to learn the best way to document the projects. This is going to include more planning, writing, and content creation / videos. Currently the big vision is a 4 to 5-minute slickly produced video for every project, but as of now, I will be lucky to find the time to create one video for a project on the weekend. Then, of course, creating short-form content creation that can go to other platforms for consumption and driving traffic.
I'll continue to lay out my vision as things become a reality, and I build some momentum.
As much as I like Google Sites, and will always have this quick, easy, and organized tool in my quiver, I need deeper functionality. So I will start exploring new platforms soon, I just want to make sure I keep going before I start building something new.
Update:
I am currently still using google sites, and plan to use it as a "design" tool to statically create the layouts of the page and content, then I'll most likely made the transition to Wordpress. I've always loved Wordpress, but not looking forward to jumping back into it.
I promise as soon as I get this over to a platform where I can jump on the CSS, I will create a "GeoCities" style sheet for fun.
I also want to create a tool where links are highlighted as they are updated, so visitors will know if a page has had a recent update.
